Dr. Hughes

Dr. Amy Ballard Hughes was born in Paris, attended undergraduate school at Paris Junior College and Texas A&M University, and graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.  She returned to her home town and this practice where she worked as a teenager.  She is a Past President of Northeast Texas Vet Medical Association.  She has served on several boards including the Leadership Lamar County board.  She and her husband, Jay, have twin girls named Kate and Haley born December 2011.  They have one black lab dog named Sue.  They own ranch properties south of Paris and run a cow/calf operation.  They are members of Bethel Baptist Church.  Her special interests include surgery and preventative medicine.  She genuinely cares about each patient and its owner, and wants their clinic visit to be a pleasant experience.
