I started my veterinary career 25 years ago on my birthday at the Brockville Animal Hospital. Even though reminiscing makes me feel old, I still remember my first day here. So nervous, so excited and so “very wet behind the ears!”
I enjoy hearing stories about people’s pets and how their lives are so enriched from the experience. Every animal has a personality. The pets and their owners continue to teach me new things every day.
My own dog “Chewy” has allergies so I have a keen interest in dermatology. My cat “Sooty” has thought me a lot about chronic kidney disease. Hopefully my other 2 cats Darth Fluffy and Boomer continue to stay healthy.
I have 3 children, Liam, Molly and Sean, all away at university. None wanting to be vets but are in the sciences. I enjoy reading, crocheting and exercising. I hope to travel when my kids are out of university.
