When I was 7 years old I watched the veterinarian in our barn do a blood transfusion between 2 cows. I enjoyed watching so much that I almost missed my school bus! That veterinarian said to my dad “that girl should be a veterinarian”. Since that day, that is what I wanted to do. I never looked back. Between medicating the barn cats and wrapping the farm dog’s boo boos I felt at that time I was already practicing veterinary medicine. 21 years later I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College. I ended up marrying a farmer so I am right back to doctoring up the animals in the barn just like I did when I was a little girl. I hope however, I know what I am doing this time around. I was very fortunate when I was 7 to have the support of my family and teachers to accomplish my dream of becoming Dr. Roth. Who said that dreams never come true! In 2010 i joined the wonderful team at BAH and have enjoyed working side-by-side with them to provide awesome veterinary care.
When I am not busy being a veterinarian, my husband and four daughters keep me busy. At this point, none of them want to be a veterinarian. I enjoy scrap booking and fastball, but I love snowmobiling! I am one of the very few at BAH that loves a good snow storm!
