On July 4 2022 we had to say goodbye to our much loved Lily who was only 11 years old. We still miss her terribly but we knew it was time to let her go. Lily was a stray found in Cornwall and ended up at the SPCA here in Brockville and it was love at first sight as she sat there , tail wagging and looking so cute – it was all a ploy and we fell for it! She turned out to be exuberant and full of energy – a typical JRT! She was great with people but not so much with other dogs as many dog-owners can testify while walking on the Brock Trail! She had her own personality and disliked loud noises like garbage trucks, skate boarders, heavy rain and thunderstorms which she barked at. She was a Jack Russell terrier mix but we were unable to determine the other half and she wouldn’t tell us! She was our fourth Jack Russell and probably our last dog but she filled our lives with laughs and now with tears. Many thanks to the staff at Brockville Animal Hospital and particularly to Dr. Cindy Roth for her support.
